Vermont Crews Pull Vehicle, Body Removed from River

Vermont State Police say a Johnson woman was killed when her SUV went off the road and into the Lamoille River in Cambridge.

Police say 54-year-old Cheryl Miller lost control of her vehicle in icy conditions on Route 15 on Monday morning and went off the road and into the river.

A search was suspended just before 6 p.m. Monday and resumed Tuesday morning.

The state police scuba team and local fire and rescue departments were on the scene.

Police say the vehicle, with Miller's body inside, was pulled from the river on Tuesday afternoon.
