Vermont Hard Cider Enters Distribution Agreement With Pabst

Vermont Hard Cider will retain full ownership of its brands and related assets in addition to its Middlebury facility

Vermont Hard Cider Co. has agreed to a distribution pact with Pabst Brewing Co. to sell and distribute Woodchuck Hard Cider nationally along with the rest of the central Vermont company's alcoholic cider brands.

The Burlington Free Press reports Vermont Hard Cider will retain full ownership of its brands and related assets in addition to its Middlebury facility.

The agreement states that Pabst will have the exclusive license to distribute, market and sell all of Vermont Hard Cider's brands - Woodchuck, Gumption, Wyder's and Hornsby's - as well as imported ciders from Ireland and England.

Vermont Hard Cider Co. is a subsidiary of Ireland's C&C Group. Pabst is currently the largest American-owned brewer.

The agreement takes effect on March 1, 2016.
