Vermont Man Pleads Not Guilty in Convenience Store Shooting

39-year-old Chris Burnor was arraigned on attempted murder and reckless endangerment charges

A Waterville man accused of shooting another man in Morrisville has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and reckless endangerment.

Thirty-nine-year-old Chris Burnor was arraigned in Hyde Park on Thursday.

The shooting happened at a Cumberland Farms around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Burnor was arrested that evening in Johnson.

Investigators say 32-year-old Thomas Zapantis of Johnson was injured. He is in stable condition at Fletcher Allen Health Care.
