State police in Vermont say a man called police after buying a car and finding dynamite in the trunk in Beecher Falls.
Vermont State Police's bomb squad, firefighters and the U.S. Border Patrol responded to the scene Sunday just before 2:30 p.m.
At least six homes near Hall Stream Road were evacuated as a precaution but no one was hurt.
