Vermont Woman ID'd in Fatal Crash

Authorities say a Vermont woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Whitingham after failing to navigate a turn.

Sixty-six-year-old Jean Ellis reportedly kept driving her 2012 Mini Cooper straight and drove off the right-hand side of the road flipped over as it fell down a 10-foot retaining wall.

Officials say there were no markings on the road to indicate braking.

State Police Sgt. Ryan Wood says the crash may have been the result of "possible inattention or most likely a medical event."

Authorities say the incident is still under investigation.
