Two fishermen got an up-close look at a great white shark Tuesday when their boat got close to a whale carcass.
Matty Riley and Ken Roth were out lobstering in Cape Cod Bay around 11 a.m. when the shark approached their vessel. A video captured by Riley shows the close encounter.
The shark, seemingly uninterested in the vessel after examining it, turns around and swims toward the dead humpback whale.
Over 200 sharks have been sighted this year off Cape Cod, according to the Sharktivity app.
