Warm Weekend in a Cooler-Than-Average June

Our temperatures swings continue. So far this June, temperatures are 3° below average in Boston. We wrapped up May 4.2° above average and April was 2.8° below. Many people are thankful for the dry weekend after plenty of rainy weekends this spring.

More sunshine on the way for Sunday. Temperatures will climb into the low 70s. It won’t be as warm out as Saturday, but it will be a nice beach day. Keep in mind, water temperatures are still running in the low 60s. There are a few bays which have warmed into the mid 60s.

Our sunny, dry weather will continue into Monday and Tuesday. With an onshore breeze Monday, it will be cool. Temperatures are only expected to stay in the upper 60s. Showers are possible on Wednesday, but at this point is doesn’t appear widespread or heavy. If you look at our probabilities of an inch or more of rain over the next week, it’s nearly at zero percent.

Temperatures gradually warm up as we continue through the week. We’re expecting a range between the mid 70s and low 80s, which is typical for this time of year. At this point, next weekend looks pretty nice as well – sunshine and temperatures in the mid 70s.
