Temperatures warmed to the 30s and 40s today, after nearing record lows this morning. A few showers move off the outer Cape this evening and snow showers head east through northern New England as a warm front lifts northeast.
This sets us up for warmer temperatures Friday with the 50s, 40s and 30s north with some snowpack. Sunshine dominates early Friday, but an arctic cold front will slowly sink southeast. As it does, it will trigger snow showers across northern New England and higher terrain.
The snow dries up once the boundary reaches southern New England. Everyone will feel the colder weather Friday night, though.
Record lows are possible across the northeast again Friday night and Saturday night as we see lows in the single digits north, to 20s south.
Highs on Saturday will be in the low to mid 30s south, and in the 20s north with a breeze that adds to the chill.
Sunday we will see slightly milder highs in the 30s and 40s. Sunday night a coastal low develops off the Carolina coast and will trek northeast, just offshore.

As it passes by us south of the benchmark, we will see scattered rain with a wintry mix in higher elevations through Monday and gusty northeast winds.
The storm is slow to exit so we have more precipitation in store through Tuesday morning.
Another coastal storm will be even farther offshore for Wednesday, but could bring a few showers south across southeastern New England. Temperatures stay in the 40s to low 50s from Monday through the following weekend.
