Partly Cloudy Sunday, Hot and Humid Monday

Sunday: Partly cloudy, bit humid. Highs in the 80s. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, patchy fog. Lows in the 60s to near 70. Monday: Hot and humid. Highs around 90. (Published Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018)

The wind shifts from east Saturday to south Sunday, bringing warmer air with it. That allows more humid air to trickle in.

We start the day in the 50s and 60s with patchy fog. Any fog burns to a mix of sun and clouds, highs pop into the 80s. A slight chance of a shower or sprinkle to the west Sunday.

Humidity builds even further on Labor Day Monday. High in the 80s to near 90 ahead of an approaching cold front. That front will get close enough to trigger a few pop up downpours or storms, especially in far Western and Northern New England.

The storm threat approaches Southern New England on Tuesday as the front sags south.
