July 4th means fireworks, barbecues, and celebrations. Here are some of the Independence Day celebrations being held around New England you can attend.

Massachusetts:
Boston
The city of Boston will hold their annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. The festivities start on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. with a concert but no fireworks. The main event begins Monday at 7 p.m. The concert will start at 8:30 p.m. and include performances from Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato. The fireworks display will begin at 10:30 p.m.
Salem
The city of Salem will hold it's celebration at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site on Derby Wharf on Monday, July 4th. The reading of the Declaration of Independence will take place Monday morning. The 104th Fighter Wing from the Barnes Air National Guard Unit will flyover the city later in the day. There are free children's activities such as games and face painting starting at 4 p.m. There will also be food tents on site offering hot dogs, french fries, fried dough, kettle corn, and other favorites. Live entertainment on the Main Stage will being at 5 p.m. and include the DITTO band who will play classics form James Taylor, Neil Young, the Beatles, and others. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:15 p.m. and the fireworks will start at 9:15 p.m.
Six Flags New England, Agawam
The amusement park will celebrate July 4th this year with a three-day long celebration called the Coca-Cola Fourth Fest. Admission to the park is free for active and retired military throughout the three-day celebration and can bring up to four other people for $39.00 each. There will be a variety of games and activities, as well as on site DJ throughout the three-day event. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. all three nights.
Nantucket
The annual fireworks display at Jetties Beach takes place at 9 p.m. on July 3rd. On July 4th, activities such as a pie-eating contest, a dunk take, and a parade begin on Main Street at 10 a.m.
Local
Worcester
Fireworks in Worcester have been RESCHEDULED to Saturday, July 2nd. The event will take place at East Park on Shrewsbury Street. The park opens at 3 p.m. with Kids Korner activites and food vendors. There will be a ceremonial flag raising at 7:40 p.m. followed by a performance from the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Carver
The annual Red, White, and Blue Days presented by Eadville USA will take place in Carver from Friday July 1st through Sunday July 3rd. You can wear red, white, and blue and try over 90 different rides and attractions. There will be food and even a scenic train ride.
North Adams
North Adams will hold their annual fireworks show at the Joe Wolf Field. The SteepleCats game will start before the fireworks which will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Fall River
You can purchase tickets to the city of Fall River's fireworks display for $8. The fireworks are shot off from the deck of the battleship USS Massachusetts at 9:30 p.m.
Marblehead
The Harbor Illumination will begin at 8:45 p.m. and fireworks start at 9 p.m. in Marblehead.
Lowell
The city of Lowell will kick off their Annual Independence Day Celebration at 7 p.m. There will be train rides, a giant slide, a bounce house, obstacle course, and live music. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
Old Sturbridge
Independence Day celebrations in Old Sturbridge begin on Saturday July 2nd and continue through July 4th. There will be a parade, march with the militia, pie-eating contest, reading of the Declaration of Independence and of course fireworks.
Lenox
The city of Lenox will read the Declaration of Independence with the help of the Shakespeare and Company. The reading begins at 3 p.m.
Middleboro
The city of Middleboro will celebrate Independence Day with a parade at 10 a.m. Following the parade, there will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence as well as music, food, and drinks.
Plymouth
The Fourth of July Parade in Plymouth begins at 9:30 a.m. Later on, the Plymouth Philharmonic will accompany broadcaster Ray Brown as he reads excerpts from the Declaration of Independence. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
Salisbury
Salisbury Beach kicks off their July 4th celebrations on Saturday with a musical performance fireworks. They will have a pet parade on Sunday a 5 p.m. and their July 4th celebrations begin at 7 p.m.
Chelmsford
Events in Chelmsford begin on Sunday with a parade at 12 p.m. There will also be an art festival and band concert by the Chelmsford Community Band.
Wellfleet
The Wellfleet classic car parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at Wellfleet Harbor.
Pittsfield
The Pittsfield parade begins at 10 a.m. on East/West Housatonic Streets.
Chatham
The Chatham parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on the corner of Main Street and Shore Road.
Rockport
Rockport, Gloucester, and Manchester by the Sea will all offer fireworks on July 4th weekend. On Saturday July 3, there will be a free concert on Stacy Boulevard beginning at 5 p.m. The Gloucester Horribles Parade begins at 6 p.m. and fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. On July 4th, the Manchester by the Sea parade kicks off at 10 a.m. The Rockport Firemen's Parade begins at 6 p.m. followed by a concert at Back Beach at 8 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.
Bartnstable and Hyannis
Events in Barnstable kick off on Monday at 9 a.m. with the Hyannisport Beach Club 2K run/parade. The Centerville parade starts at 10 a.m. and the Hyannisport parade begins at 11 a.m. The parade in Hyannis begins at 4 p.m. A free concert at Aselton Park in Hyannis starts at 7 p.m. and fireworks will be shot off from Lewis Bay at 9 p.m.
Edgartown
Edgartown will kick off their celebrations with a parade at 5 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk.
Sandwich
The town of Sandwich begins their celebrations with a 3-mile road race starting at 8:30 a.m. The Spirit of Sandwich parade starts at 10 a.m. followed by the Famous Egg Toss and Picnic in the Park from 12-2 p.m. There will be live music at 1 p.m. and another concert at 7:30 p.m. The boat parade by Shawme Pond begins at 9 p.m.
North Reading
The Independence Day celebrations in North Reading will take place on Saturday July 2nd. There will be a Field Day starting at 10 a.m. At 4:30 p.m. there will be food trucks, live music, a craft fair, a bouncy house, and a dunk tank. The fireworks will be shot off at 9:45 p.m.
Everett
The city of Everett with celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 2nd. The first event, field day fun at Glendale Park, begins at 9 a.m. Children can climb into the police and fire trucks and participate in relay races and other game. There will be snacks and music. There will be an amusement park beginning at 3 p.m. and an after party at Night Shift Brewing for those over 21 from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m.
New Hampshire
Concord
The city of Concord will celebrate Independence Day at Memorial Field. Beginning at 5 p.m. there will be food vendors and live music. The fireworks will begin at 9:20 p.m.
Merrimack
The festivities in Merrimack begin on Sunday July 3rd at 6:30 p.m. with a concert. On July 4th, there will be a 5K Road Race starting at 8 a.m. followed by a pancake breakfast at Merrimack High School. The Merrimack Rotary Family Fun Day kicks off at 12 p.m. followed by the parade at 1 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
Nashua
Nashua kicks off their July 4th celebrations with Children's Day beginning at 10 a.m. There will be musical entertainment from 6 p.m. until the fireworks begin around dusk.
Derry
Fireworks will be shot off in Derry at dusk on July 4th.
Conway
The Independence Day celebrations in Conway will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Monday July 4th with a parade. Following the parade there will be musical entertainment until the fireworks are shot off at 9:30 p.m.
Peterborough
Fireworks will be displayed in Peterborough on Saturday, July 2nd. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the fireworks will be shot off after dusk. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family.
Portsmouth
The city's fireworks display will be held on Sunday, July 3rd. The fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. at the South Mill Pond.
Providence
The City of Providence will hold their festivities beginning at 4:30 p.m. with family events. There will be a bike parade at 6:30 p.m. followed by a speaking program and performance. The fireworks will begin at 9:!5 p.m. and there will be a post-fireworks dance party at 9:45 p.m.
Newport
The fireworks show in Newport begins around 9:15 p.m. along Newport Harbor.
Warwick- POSTPONED
The fireworks will be shot off in Warwick on Friday July 1st at 9 p.m. at the Oakland Beach seawall.
Narragansett
Naragansett will hold their 4th of July Independence Day Beach Party at the Town Beach beginning mid-day. There will be live music at 5 p.m. and the fireworks begin at dusk.
Misquamicut
The town of Misquamicut will shoot off fireworks beginning at 9 p.m. at the Wuskenau Beach Pond side.
Block Island
There will be live music on Block Island beginning at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks display begins at dusk.
Portland
The annual Stars and Stripes Spectacular takes place on July 4th in Portland, Maine. The event is free and open to the public. The festivities begin at 12 p.m. with a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Vendors will begin to open to the public at 2 p.m. The PSO Patriotic Pops Concert begins at 7:40 p.m. and fireworks start at 9:20 p.m.
Bar Harbor
The city of Bar Harbor kicks off their Independence Day celebrations at 6 a.m. with a Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, but don't worry, late risers have until 10 a.m. to get their pancakes, sausages, juice, milk, and coffee. The craft fair and marketplace opens up at 9 a.m. The Independence Day Parade starts at 10 a.m. and the Seafood Festival begins at 11 a.m. Live music begins at 3:30 p.m. and the fireworks over Frenchman Bay start around 9:15 p.m.
Ogunquit
Residents of Ogunquit can head to the Main Beach for fireworks at 9 p.m. as well as a DJ before and after the show.
Old Orchard Beach
The July 4th celebrations at Old Orchard Beach will take place on Sunday July 3rd. Fireworks will kick off at 9:45 p.m.
Vermont
Burlington
The city of Burlington will be celebrating Independence Day on Sunday, July 3rd. The events will take place on the Burlington Waterfront at 5 p.m. There will be musical entertainment, face painting and Henna tattoos, food, and an Airshow at 8:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Colchester
Events in Colchester will take place on Monday July 4th, beginning at 7:30 a.m. with a 5k Fun Run at Union Memorial School. The 4th of July parade begins at 11 a.m. There will be vendors, games, and musical entertainment at Bayside Park beginning at 6 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk from the Bayside Softball Field.
Rutland
The Rutland Fireworks Extravaganza takes place on Saturday July 2nd. Fireworks start at 9:34 p.m. at the Vermont State Fairgrounds.
New Haven
The city of New Haven will have its annual fireworks display at the Wilbur Cross High School at 9 p.m.
Middlebury
Middlbury will have their 3D Fireworks display at Quassy Amusement Park at dusk.
Waterbury
There will be fireworks in Waterbury beginning at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 3rd.
New London
There will be fireworks at Ocean Beach Park on Friday, July 1st. in New London beginning at 8 p.m.
Norwalk
There will be fireworks at Bayley Beach beginning at 9:15 p.m.
