Where to Watch Boston's Fireworks From Outside the City

Nothing beats watching the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular at the Esplanade for the Fourth of July. But with the massive crowds, you know it could be a struggle to find that perfect viewing spot.

To get that view you're looking for, without the hustle and bustle, there are several hidden areas outside the city where you can enjoy the fireworks display in peace.

Larz Anderson Park is a gem, as is Corey Hill Outlook Park. Both are in Brookline. Hammocks, chairs and grass provide a lot more elbow room for spectators.

"I'm one of the residents at Mt. Auburn, so hopefully I can get off early, catch the end of it or something like that," said Arman Yalcin of Brookline. "That's the plan."

Prospect Hill Park in Somerville also has a lovely view. And, for waterfront views of the display, Wallaston Beach in Quincy is, no doubt, a hidden gem.

Great Hill Park in Weymouth, M.I.T. in Cambridge and Governor Hutchinson's Field in Milton are also good spots, among others, to enjoy the Boston fireworks display this Fourth of July.
