    Waiting for Snow in Boston

This winter has had very little snow so far. Can we expect a heavy yield later in the season?

Boston is still waiting for its first inch of snow.

It seemed like this winter was off to a fast start, with most of Metro West receiving six or more inches of snow before Thanksgiving.

Monday, we met Jamie Snow and Steve Milder at Boston's Frog Pong. No, that's not a joke. They might seem like an odd couple by name, and despite Steve's last name, the couple are disappointed by the lack of snow.

The couple, who now lives in the Netherlands, is back home for the holiday season.

"It's weird because last year, we were back, and it was cold and there was a lot of snow," Milder said.

Through this point last year, Boston Logan Airport already received 22.6 inches. The year prior, it had recorded 14 inches.

So far this year, 0.2 inches have fallen at Logan.

Peggy Wiesenberg has plans to head north to find snow, trading the skates for skies.

"I'm very disappointed," Wiesenberg said. "My girlfriends and I are going to Vermont this weekend to go skiing. So we are hoping."

The longest Boston had to wait for its first inch of snow was Valentine's Day in 2007.
