The widow of a man who was killed during Bangor, Maine's Fourth of July parade three years ago has settled her lawsuit against the city and the parade's sponsor.
Lorena Fenlason's lawyer says the settlement amount is not being disclosed.
Her suit claimed that Bangor officials didn't perform "competent, reasonable and necessary maintenance" on the antique fire truck that struck her husband, Wallace Fenlason, during the 2013 parade put on by the Kiwanis Club.
Sixty-three-year-old Wallace Fenlason was thrown from a tractor he was riding after the fire truck hit it and was crushed to death. Officials have said that the fire engine was low on brake fluid and lost its braking ability.
City officials and the Kiwanis Club declined to comment.
