An elderly driver was hospitalized following a wild crash that damaged 10 vehicles parked in an automobile dealer's lot Thursday.

Morristown Police said Leopold LeRiche, 85, drove a truck through Vermont Route 15 at the intersection of Center Road and Route 15, and hit 10 parked vehicles in the McMahon Chevrolet and Buick lot.

Police said LeRiche was transported first to Copley Hospital, and later to the University of Vermont Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Police did not specify the nature of the patient's injuries.

In photographs provided to necn affiliate WPTZ-TV by Jay Hersh of Hyde Park, Vermont, a red truck appears to have ended up on top of cars that were marked for sale in the McMahon lot.

Morristown Police said the section of Route 15 from Brooklyn Street east to Munson Avenue needed to be closed for several hours due to the crash.

Morristown Rescue, Morrisville Fire, Morristown Police, and Northern EMS responded to the scene, police said.
