Wild Scene as Pickup Crashes Into 2 Vehicles, House in Burlington, Massachusetts

The driver of a pickup truck is facing charges after crashing into a house and several vehicles in a wild scene in Burlington, Massachusetts on Wednesday night.

Burlington police and fire responded at 8:12 p.m. for a report of a car into a house at 80 Bedford St. Upon arrival, they found a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck that had crashed into a parked car, sending it into another car and causing damage to the front of the house.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle cut across Bedford Street from Humboldt Avenue and struck two parked cars before striking the house.

The driver, a 46-year-old Burlington man, reported experiencing a medical issue shortly before the crash, however, he refused treatment at the scene. A female passenger was transported to an area hospital for treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver will be issued a summons for operating to endanger, and the Burlington Police Department said it will be filing an immediate threat notification with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles.

The driver’s name was not released by police.

No one inside the home was injured, but at least two people have been displaced until a building inspector can determine that the dwelling is safe to occupy.

The incident remains under investigation by Burlington police.
