    Woman Stabbed in Brockton Dies, Suspect Arrested

    A woman who was stabbed during a road rage incident in Brockton on Friday afternoon has died, according to officials.

    According to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office, 41-year-old Jennifer Landry, of Brockton, died Saturday after she was stabbed in the right side of her neck on Friday.

    Earlier on Saturday, police announced that Jacqueline Mendes, 32, of Fall River was arrested in connection to the incident.

    According to police, the women got into a traffic-related confrontation in the area of Belmont and Grafton streets when Mendes stabbed Landry shortly before 4 p.m. Mendes then got back in her car and left.

    A woman is facing charges after she allegedly stabbed another woman in Brockton on Friday.

    Massachusetts State Police took photos of the victim's SUV, left in the middle of the road after the stabbing.

    The victim was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in serious condition. Landry was then flown to Boston Medical Center for treatment, the district attorney's office said.

    Mendes turned herself in at the Brockton Police station a short time after the incident. She was subsequently arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Mendes now also faces one count of murder.

    Mendes is due in Brockton District Court on Monday. It is unclear if she has an attorney.
