    Mother, Child Struck by Car in Brookline

    A driver was issued a citation Friday morning after striking a mother and her 3-year-old child in a crosswalk in Brookline, Massachusetts.

    A woman and her 3-year-old child were struck by a car during a pedestrian crash Friday in Brookline, Massachusetts.

    The crash was reported around 11 a.m. at a crosswalk near Longwood Avenue and Kent Street.

    Both the woman and the child were taken to a local hospital, according to Brookline police.

    The victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and the driver, who remained at the scene, was given a citation for failing to stop for pedestrians at a crosswalk.

    The names of those involved were not released.
