Woman Dies After Fall From Third-Floor Window at Fall River Condo, DA Says

Investigators are trying to determine if the woman's death at Waterview Heights was accidental or intentional, according to the Bristol District Attorney's office

A Massachusetts woman has died after falling from a third-floor window at a condominium complex, authorities said, but her death isn't being treated as a homicide.

Investigators had been trying to determine if the death at the Waterview Heights complex in Fall River on Tuesday morning was accidental or intentional, but the Bristol County District Attorney's Office issued an update Wednesday afternoon saying "the matter is not being investigated as a homicide."

Police responded to the scene at about 9:30 a.m. after getting several 911 calls.

The woman was transported Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, where she was pronounced dead.

Prosecutors identified her as Stephanie Sisson, 42, whose last known address was in Taunton.

Patricia Eagan, a resident of the complex, told The Herald News of Fall River that the victim fell from a hallway window and not from the window of a residence.
