A New Hampshire woman accused of starving a boy has been found guilty of second-degree assault.
Authorities accused 57-year-old Peggy Starr of Nottingham of depriving the boy of food when he lived in her daughter's New Durham home from 2008 to 2010. He was between the ages of 4 and 6 while under their care.
Foster's Daily Democrat reports Starr was found not guilty of first-degree assault. She is facing 3 ½ to seven years in prison.
Starr's daughter, Christina Thomas, was convicted of first-degree assault in February 2013 for failing to provide proper nutrition to the developmentally disabled boy.
Prosecutors said the boy weighed 23 pounds when the state intervened.
A sentencing hearing for Starr has been not scheduled.
