Woman Gets 6 Months in Prison After Fatal DUI Crash

A Massachusetts woman accused of driving up to 100 mph while drunk and crashing into a tree, killing a teenager, is going to prison.

The Bristol County district attorney's office says 20-year-old Jenna Lombardo, of Seekonk, pleaded guilty to charges of drunk driving and motor vehicle homicide in Attleboro District Court.

A felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor as part of a plea deal. Lombardo was sentenced Thursday to serve six months in prison and will lose her driver's license for 15 years.

Lombardo was driving on Interstate 495 on the night of October 11, 2014 when she lost control of the vehicle. The car hit a tree and split in two, killing 19-year-old Christopher Hutcheon and injuring his twin, Cameron Hutcheon, as well as a third teenager.
