    A woman was hit by a car Monday evening in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

    A 60-year-old Wilmington woman was crossing Main Street when a 2018 Honda Civic hit her shortly after 6 p.m., police said.

    The victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries. The driver was not hurt.

    Main Street was closed from Route 62 to Middlesex Avenue for about two and a half hours as police investigated the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
