A woman was hospitalized Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Police responded to the area of 987 Main St. at 8:45 p.m. where a 71-year-old woman was suffering from serious injuries to her head and leg.
The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to an area hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
Authorities said a preliminary investigation showed that the driver of the vehicle was traveling north while the victim was attempting to cross the street in the marked cross walk when the driver somehow struck her.
Police said the driver remained on the scene.
It's unclear if any charges will be filed.
