The second of two women charged with attempted murder for allegedly attacking a third woman as she sat in her car has pleaded not guilty.
The Morning Sentinel reports that 20-year-old Tiffany Glidden, of Waterville, Maine, entered her plea Tuesday at her arraignment in Kennebec County Superior Court to charges including aggravated attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and elevated aggravated assault.
The other defendant, 23-year-old Carissa Butkewicz, of Waterville, pleaded not guilty last week to the same charges in connection with the attack in November in China.
Prosecutors say the two arranged to meet the victim then attacked her with a knife and bat. A motive has not been disclosed.
The 24-year-old victim spent 10 days in the hospital with a stab wound.
Glidden's attorney could not be reached.
