Woman Struck in Hit-and-Run

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, was transported to Beth Israel Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

A woman was transported to a hospital after she was struck in a hit-and-run Tuesday morning in Newton, Massachusetts, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Police say they responded to the area of Route 9 westbound at Woodward street at 6:35 a.m.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, who was crossing the street at the time, was transported to Beth Israel Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the vehicle may have been a four-door sedan.
