Women Scammed Elderly Resident Out of $800: Police

Police said two women scammed an elderly Norwalk resident out of $800 and authorities are hoping members of the public can help identify the people responsible. 

The two women convinced the victim to provide a debit card and pass code on Monday and took around $800 from the victim’s bank account, police said. 

One woman is around 5-feet-5, in her mid-20s to early-30s and appeared to be around 150 pounds. She was wearing black clothing. 

The other has braided hair, is 5-feet-2 and in her 40s or 50s, police said. 

Both were in dark vehicle, possibly a Jeep. 

Anyone with information about the women police are looking for should call the Norwalk Police Tip Line at 203-854-3111 , send an anonymous tips through the Norwalk Police website or submit a tip by typing "NPD" into the text field, followed by the message, and sending it to CRIMES (274637).
