A Worcester, Massachusetts man will face a judge Monday in connection with federal child pornography possession charges.
James Stoddard, 38, is due in U.S. District Court in Worcester to answer to three counts of child pornography possession.
Stoddard was recently taken into custody after authorities say they found a homemade, child-like love doll, several pairs of child-sized underwear, and dozens of images depicting child pornography inside his Arcadia Street apartment.
The investigation into Stoddard began earlier in the year when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from Google about child pornography being uploaded on Feb. 19, according to federal records.
After the uploaded images were tracked to Stoddard's apartment, investigators obtained a search warrant in April and seized several computers and a digital media storage device, in addition to the underwear and doll.
According to court documents, positive DNA results were made on the doll and underwear, connecting Stoddard.
Authorities said Stoddard was not home at the time so they pinged his cell phone and located him in Natick. Court documents revealed that Stoddard was suicidal and had climbed a tree. Stoddard told Natick Police he would jump from the tree unless he received a letter stating he would not face criminal charges.

After locating him and a lengthy negotiation, documents show Stoddard climbed down from the tree and was taken into custody without incident.
Stoddard is listed as a Level 1 registered sex offender after being conflicted for possessing sexually explicit material of a minor in Maine. An attorney for Stoddard could not be immediately identified.
