Attorney Representing Alleged Mass. School Abuse Victims

(NECN) – Front page news in Wednesday’s Boston Globe is shaking up a Newton, Massachusetts private school.

Columnist Brian McGrory disclosed that a local private school is taking the rare action of sending out 7500 letters in an attempt to reach victims of sexual abuse.

The letters were prompted by complaints that have surfaced involving a former assistant headmaster from the 1970s.

Attorney Mitchell Garabedian is representing two men who allege they were abused on Fesseden’s campus.

Watch the interview to see what Garabedian has to say about the school’s decision to send a letter asking for more victims to come forward.

“I think it’s widespread,” Garabedian said of the number of victims sexually abused at Fessenden.

Garabedian also discusses the motivation for the alleged sex abuse victim to come forward in 2011, despite being allegedly abused in the 70s.
