Children in New Orleans Still Feel Impact of Katrina

(NECN) - This week marks the 5 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

Life in much of New Orleans has gotten better, thanks in large part to the volunteers and private companies that have helped people get back in their homes and back on their feet.

Some of the most affected by the storm were the children and though there is still work to be done, one organization has done a lot to remind them that life can be good again.

Joining NECN Morning is the man behind the whole effort.

Steve Gross is the executive director of the Life is Good Kids Foundation and Life is Good Playmakers.
