Marzilli Pleads Guilty to Harassment Charges

(NECN: John Moroney, Lowell, Mass.) - Former Massachusetts state Senator James Marzilli has pleaded guilty to six charges and has admitted to sufficient facts to a seventh, more serious charge.

Marzilli has been charged with sexually harassing four women.

Marzilli, an Arlington Democrat, was charged in 2008 with making sexually explicit remarks to four women in Lowell and attempting to sexually touch one of them.

Marzilli has been sentenced to three months in jail and five years of probation.

After his arrest, Marzilli was treated at a psychiatric hospital.
