Report: Officer Who Shot Todashev Had Troubled Past

According to the Boston Globe, the FBI agent who shot and killed the friend of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has the same name and birthday as an officer who had a short and troubled past with the Oakland, California police department.

Ibragim Todashev was killed while being interviewed by authorities in Florida last year.

The paper reports that the officer, who officials refuse to identify, was also sued a decade ago for allegedly beating another man. A federal report released in March found that the agent would not be charged in Todashev's death.
