Rhode Island Residents Brace for Flooding

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan - Cranston, RI) - People in Rhode Island are being warned to brace for ''life threatening floods.''

The Pawtuxet River has already reached flood stage.

The Blackstone is slightly below flood stage.

About a hundred people have been evacuated from their homes in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Residents near the Pawtuxet River were told to leave Monday night.

Mayor Allan Fung says he was concerned people could be trapped in the area, since a bridge was closed because of damage from the last flooding.
