Storm Aftermath in Gloucester, Mass.

(NECN: Kristen Caira - Gloucester, MA) - People across New England are cleaning up on Saturday morning.

High winds wreaked havoc on the region, especially Massachusetts' North Shore.

Utility workers were out overnight restoring power to residents after high winds gusted more than 60 miles per hour and left tens of thousands of residents without power.

Saturday morning Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reported about 24,500 people were without power statewide, mostly
in the northeastern part of the state, down from a high of 100,000.
