Wake to Be Held for Fallen Boston Firefighter Ed Walsh

(NECN: Leslie Gaydos) - Mourners will gather in Watertown, Mass. to pay their respects to a fallen Boston firefighter Tuesday.

The wake for Lieutenant Ed Walsh will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Saint Patrick's Church.

His funeral will take place at the same church Wednesday morning.

Parts of Main Street, Summer Street, Green and Myrtle Streets, as well as Whites Avenue will be closed beginning at noon and ending at 10:00 p.m.

Walsh and fellow Firefighter Michael Kennedy were killed last week battling a nine-alarm fire in the city's Back Bay neighborhood.

Kennedy's wake will be held Wednesday, with a funeral taking place Thursday.
