    Lowell Police Investigating Sidewalk Shooting

    The shooting occurred on Merrimack Street.

    Police are investigating after a man was shot Wednesday night on a sidewalk in Lowell, Massachusetts, according to authorities.

    The shooting occurred on Merrimack Street, outside of a restaurant.

    The victim was taken by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries but is expected to survive, according to police.

    Police were still searching for a suspect as of Thursday morning.
