Ann Romney on Mitt's Decision Not to Run in 2016

Ann Romney responded to her husband's decision not to run for president in 2016.

Ann Romney has fond memories of campaigning for her husband Mitt in 2012 when he was the Republican Presidential nominee.

But I get this reaction when I tell her about a comment made recently by a prominent political pundit, James Carville, who predicted that if Jeb Bush loses New Hampshire they'll get Mitt Romney back in the race.

Romney laughed adding, "Please no. No... - we'll see."

That's not a definite no.

Asked if she has a 2016 favorite among the 19 Republicans considering a run, Romney says, "No endorsements, no, Mitt and I will be neutral. We know almost all of them. And we know them and respect them and like them."

And after living through the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City - Mitt Romney was Chief Executive of those games - what is her message to Boston - they city that won the national bid to host the 2024 Summer games.

Romney says, "I would love for people to think about the Olympics coming to Boston to think of it in a different way not what is the Olympics going to do for my city but what as a city can we do to be of service to the world.... But also it is an extraordinary opportunity to be - to open your city to the world because the world comes and it is amazing experience. It is a highlight of our life to have been involved in the Olympics."
