In the wake of the deadliest shooting in U.S. history, Donald Trump is postponing a scheduled rally Monday in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The Republican candidate will speak that afternoon at St. Anselm College in Manchester, as he planned, but he announced Sunday night that he would not be appearing in Portsmouth.
"Due to the horrific tragedy that has just taken place in Orlando, Florida, Mr. Trump is postponing the rally scheduled to take place tomorrow in Portsmouth," the campaign said in a statement. "He looks forward to returning to New Hampshire and discussing the serious threats facing all Americans and his solutions for making this country safe again."
Trump is due to speak at St. Anselm at 2:30 p.m.
