Jeb Bush Says People Need to Work Longer Hours

The Republican presidential candidate made the comments during a trip to New Hampshire

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is backtracking on his comment that people need to work longer hours.

The Boston Globe reports that during an interview in New Hampshire on Wednesday, the former Florida governor commented that a key to economic growth is for people "to work longer hours."

The Democratic National Committee jumped on the remark, saying "it's easily one of the most out-of-touch comments we've heard so far this cycle."

The comments were made in a livestreamed interview with The New Hampshire Union Leader.

Bush later clarified, saying he was referring only to those working part-time, who need more access to full-time work.
