The 2016 New Hampshire presidential primary is well over a year away, but there's a new poll about the Democratic contenders that gives Hillary Clinton a huge lead.

The Bloomberg Politics and Saint Anselm of New Hampshire poll gave Clinton a commanding lead, close to 50 percent. Only Ted Kennedy and Vice President Al Gore have broken the 50 percent mark more than six months before the primary.

Additionally, 62 percent of voters said they would cast their ballot for Clinton if the Democratic primary were held today. Trailing behind, 13 percent said they would vote for Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, six percent said Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, and five percent said Vice President Joe Biden.

According to the poll, Republicans did not trail far behind Clinton. If Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, or Rand Paul were campaigning against Clinton today, they would receive 45 percent, 39 percent, and 41 percent of the vote, respectively.

New Hampshire has voted for the winner of the White House in eight of the last nine elections.
