Preview: NECN's Debate Week

Tune in next week for debates between the canidates vying for office in Massachusetts

The political season is heating up and next week NECN is hosting a series of debates for several different races. NECN's Jim Braude joined Latoyia Edwards for a preview of the upcoming nights.

Wednesday, Sept. 3, The Massachusetts Democratic Attorney General Primary debate between Maura Healey and Warren Tolman will be held at 6 p.m.

Braude said this race is probably one of the hottest races in any of the major statewide offices.

Thursday, Sept. 4 will be the Massachusetts Democratic Gubernatorial Primary debate will be held between Martha Coakley, Steve Grossman and Donald Berwick.

Braude said that this debate is going to be a big deal, considering it's the race for governor. Martha Coakley was shown to have a significant lead, but a new Herald poll shows that shows Grossman cutting that lead almost in half.

Friday, Sept. 5 will be the Republican Gubernatorial Primary debate between candidates Charlie Baker and Mark Fisher.

Braude said that the two have completely different views with Fisher being a proud Tea Party member and a much more Conservative Republican.
