Hillary Clinton Coming to New Hampshire

She'll be in the state on Nov. 2 to campaign for Democratic candidates

Potential 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is planning to travel to New Hampshire in the next month to campaign for U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Gov. Maggie Hassan, according to Politico.

The political website said Clinton is also planning to campaign for Democratic candidates in Kentucky and Iowa before the Nov. 4 mid-term elections. "She is working to help Democrats win in order to help protect core Democratic values. That is the goal," Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told Politico.

The Shaheen campaign released a statement Friday afternoon saying the visit will take place on Nov. 2. Details will be released in the coming weeks.

"There is so much at stake for New Hampshire in this election and I couldn't be more grateful to have Secretary Clinton's support," Shaheen said. "She's someone I'm proud to call a friend, and I can't wait to welcome her back to New Hampshire."

Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, is scheduled to be in state on Oct. 16 for the New Hampshire Democratic Party's annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner.
