INTERVIEW: Steve Kerrigan at DNC

(NECN: Alison King, Charlotte, N.C.) - Steve Kerrigan is the CEO of the Democratic National Convention, and on Thursday took some time out to speak with NECN.

Kerrigan talks about the hard decision he and other convention organizers had to make to move President Barack Obama's speech from the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, N.C. to inside the convention arena.

"It was a tough call to make yesterday, but it was the right call to make you know," he said. "It's public safety and people's safety is the most important thing, and we were able to make the adjustments. We had planned ahead as all good planners do and we had a contingency and we executed it really, really well."
