(NECN: Alison King) - If Senator John Kerry is confirmed as secretary of state, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick will be picking an interim replacement -- and now, a new, relatively-unknown name is emerging.
Not many people have heard of William “Mo” Cowan, but Patrick’s outgoing chief of certainly knows the ins and outs of the political game.
NECN’s Alison King had a closer look on Monday.
Cowan himself is keeping mum on whether the rumors are true.
“I’m concentrating on my life after government,” Cowan said.
