(NECN) - An investigative team is headed to a site in Alaska, where a plane believed to be carrying eight people has crashed.
There are possible fatalities, according to the Alaska National Guard.
Rescue crews are trying to reach the site, about 20 miles north of Dillingham.
Severe weather is hampering efforts.
A U.S. official says former Senator Ted Stevens may have been aboard the plane.
