Washington Buzzing Ahead of Inauguration

(AP/NBC News: Tracie Potts, Washington) - A heavy and steady stream of people was flooding the National Mall Monday morning, but there wasn't the same early morning crush of humanity as seen four years earlier for President Barack Obama's first inauguration.

With the main event hours away, people were having their pictures taken with a flag-draped Capitol building in the background.

NBC Reporter Tracie Potts gave a live preview of the day's events from Washington.
