Tom Menino had been scheduled to appear on Broadside to talk about his book with host Jim Braude. Unfortunately, the longtime Boston mayor passed away on Thursday after a battle with cancer.
Menino was forced to cancel his book tour in wake of his failing health. His hope for time to spend with family and friends was sadly cut short.
Howard Liebowitz, Menino's press secretary, was by his side when he was elected back in 1993. Carole Brennan served as his press secretary from 2000-2003.
The two joined Broadside to share stories about Menino.
