MANCHESTER, N.H. — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is heading to New Hampshire to campaign with Republican gubernatorial hopeful Walt Havenstein.
Havenstein says Christie will join him for various retail campaign stops and grassroots events on June 20 in the Manchester area. He'll also attend a fundraiser in Atkinson that night.
Havenstein faces Andrew Hemingway in the September primary for the chance to take on Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan in the general election.
Christie, a potential 2016 presidential candidate and chairman of the Republican Governors Association, has kept up a heavy travel and fundraising schedule as he fights to recover from a traffic scandal at home.
