Texas Gov. Rick Perry is scheduled to spend two days in New Hampshire later this month.
Perry will attend an Americans for Prospertity - New Hampshire event on Aug. 22 at The Yard Restaurant in Manchester. The 5 p.m. event is being held to unveil a new tax study highlighting the business climate in the Granite State. He is also scheduled to attend a Merrimack County Republican Committee picnic in Chichester the following day.
"Governor Perry has a proven track record when it comes to growing Texas' economy and creating jobs," said Greg Moore, AFPF-NH state director, in a statement announcing the event. "He's exactly the right person to talk about the importance to enhancing a state's competitiveness for economic growth."
Perry, who sought the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, has been rumored to be a possible contender in 2016. He ducked questions about another presidential run in a conference call with New Hampshire reporters last week.
