New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will reportedly go before NFL officials on Monday to appeal his four-game suspension.
Sources tell ESPN the Patriots player's defense will question the league's handling of his case.
Edelman was hit with the suspension last month for allegedly violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
If his suspension is upheld, he will not be able to play until the Oct. 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts.
In a statement, Edelman has apologized, saying "I don't know what happened."
