Thousands of New England Patriots fans filled the parking lot outside Gillette Stadium Sunday afternoon, hours before they left screaming moments after the Patriots’ win against the Houston Texans in the season opener.
“I’m expecting a little revenge,” said fan Jerry Pajotte ahead of Sunday’s game. “I think a lot of people are still hurting [after last season]....”
Caryn Peterson got up at 3 a.m. to start preparing food.
“We’re ready to have a much better ending....” she said of this season.
One couple decided to use the venue to celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary.
“It’s a great experience just to be here with my wife,” said Richard Zaleski, a season ticket holder.
