Report: New England Patriots Star Tight End Rob Gronkowski Out for Game Against Titans

New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski reportedly won't play in this Sunday's game against Tennessee.

A source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Gronkowski won't hit the field as he heals up his back and ankle.

"The team is taking the smart, cautious approach to making sure he's back after the bye at full strength to close the season strong," Rapoport's source told him.

Sunday's game against the Titans will be the third game he's missed so far this season due to injuries. He had been listed as questionable earlier this week.

"It's been more challenging, but it's just a little more obstacles in the way. I mean, it's life. You gotta take 'em on. That's what I'm doing," Gronkowski said Friday, NBC Sports Boston reported.

Gronk previously missed last Sunday's game against the Packers and Week 7's game against the Bears.
